Burger King refresh

2703 S. Quillan St.

One of three Burger King restaurants in Kennewick is getting a refresh.

The $185,000 project is renovating the facade of the 5,000-square-foot building, changing the roof line and replacing signs.

The dining room and restroom will be refinished, and the property will get required upgrades to make it accessible to people with disabilities.

The kitchen is not affected.

Skyline Principal Investors, which owns the property, is the contractor.

The building was original built in 2002. Records indicate the budget was $450,000.

Burger King, part of Restaurant Brands International, announced a nationwide remodeling spree dubbed “Reclaim the Flame.”

Richland

Shamra Properties LLC is building a 6,300-square-foot retail shell building with space for up to four businesses on a lot near the Country Mercantile store in Richland’s Badger South area.

Construction Management Specialist is the contractor for the project, which has a construciton value of $930,000.

Tenants have not been disclosed.

Gesa Credit Union is the lender, according to a building permit issued in May.

The city of Richland is processing a request to build a 110-room Best Western Hotel at 3090 Keene Road, next to the Fairchild Cinemas at Queensgate.

The Richland Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing and review of the application at 6 p.m., Oct. 13, at Richland City Hall, 625 Swift B.

There is a land use notice on the property but no visible signs of construction.

Pasco

Goodwill Industries of the Columbia is constructing a new retail store and employment office near the Mid-Columbia Libraries’ branch in West Pasco.

The project includes a 35,200-square-foot building.

Archibald & Co Architests is the designer. Chervenell Construction Co. is the contractor

The project has a construction value of about $8 million, according to a permit issued by the city of Pasco in August.

Pasco is considering a building a pplication for a convenience store, fueling station and car wash on Outlet Drive near Sandifur.

The project will consist of a 4,500-square-foot store, 2,700-square-foot fuel pump canopy and a five-bay car wash on a 2.7-acre site.

No work has started.
