Kennewick
Canal Landing Townhomes
4711 W. Canal Drive
The first townhomes at Canal Landing are under construction on a nearly 7.5-acre site on Canal Drive, east of Edison Street.
Some storage units were demolished on the property to make way for the project.
The development by Canal Landing Opportunity and Ambience Homes is marketing the units with prices starting at $359,000. The first phase will feature 36 townhomes.
Juvenile Justice Center

A modernization of the aging Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center in Kennewick is adding new housing pods and will refresh courtrooms, the intake area and visitation areas.
The first phase involves construction of a new housing complex. It is set to be complete in January. After that, the old building will be torn down.
The will remodel space for intake and visitation as well as two new courtrooms and a new entry. Chervenell Construction is the general contractor.
Edison Street Subdivision
5117 W. Seventh St.
A seven-lot subdivision is being developed at a former field near Apostolic Assembly Church at Edison Street and West Seventh.
City building permits indicate utilities are being installed for seven lots.
Ellison Earthworks LLC is the contractor and Sierra Electric Inc. is the streetlight installer.
Pasco
Columbia Shores Townhomes

Townhomes will soon rise at the former Harris Farm in west Pasco.
The site has been reading for development and the builder expects to secure building permits for the first of about 500 units by early July.
Pro Made Homes is working with the ownership group to create the development, which will feature townhomes as well as walking paths, a clubhouse parks, playgrounds and a pool.
The first phase will have 97 homes, according to Coldwell Banker Tomlinson, which is working with Pro Made and the owners.
Site work began in 2024. Utilities, roads and other signs of the future neighborhood have been installed.
CBC Student Housing
2600 N.. 20th Ave.
Columbia Basin College has launched construction of its newest $19.3 million student housing complex.
The 162-student project is being built at the southwest corner of Argent Road and 20th Avenue, on the northeast corner of campus.
Fowler Construction is the general contractor for the project.
The target opening date is summer/fall 2026. CBC expects to finalize the building name this fall.
Summer’s Hub Food Truck Plaza
6120 Burden Blvd.
Summer’s Hub of Pasco is starting to take shape outside Gesa Stadium in west Kennewick.
Contractors have installed the steel frame for the $13 million food truck plaza, which will echo the original Summer’s Hub in Kennewick. It is set to open in September.
Owner Chris Corbin is developing a 6,600-square-foot restaurant and food court facility. It will have room for about 30 food trucks.
LPR Architecture is the designer. MH Construction is the builder.
West Richland
Belmont Meadows Apartments
455 Belmont Blvd.
Belmont Meadows LLC is seeking approval to develop a 211-unit apartment complex on Belmont Boulevard on the slopes above West Van Giesen Street.
The apartments will be housed in three long buildings.
The LLC is led by Zachary Wright, David Lopez-Rangel and Rigo Rangel.
Environmental review documents indicate the development team expects to begin working on the site in fall or winter of 2025.
