Jacksons Food Store

Jacksons fuel station and convenience store is being renovated with a new canopy, driveways, four fuel pumps, fire hydrant, street lights and sidewalks, according to building permits issued by the city of Kennewick.

The existing canopy and dispensers were removed as part of the project.

LCR Construction LLC is the general contractor. Ray Poland & Sons Inc. is the underground contractor.

AutoZone, the Memphis, Tenn.-based auto parts retailer, is constructing a 18,850-square-foot warehouse addition to its existing retail business at 1220 W. Fourth Ave.in central Kennewick.

AutoZone expansion

AutoZone Parts Inc. is preparing the site near its existing warehouse at its downtown Kennewick for a future expansion that will add 18,850 square feet.

The new addition is on the west side of the property and echoes a warehouse project built in 2023.

J-U-B Engineers Inc. is the designer. Corstone Contractors is the general contractor.

Elm Street Padilla Townhouses

A six-unit townhome complex is being built in east Kennewick, at North Elm and East Bruneau near the Tin Hat bar.

The three-story townhomes will consist of living space on the upper floors and work spaces at ground level.

The $2.2 million project is being developed by Damian Padilla and PMI Construction.

Evolv Design Collective is the designer.

Shelby’s Floral Phase 2 (Update)

6018 W. Clearwater Ave.

Workers have begun framing the second phase of Shelby’s Floral’s new complex on West Clearwater Avenue.

The Kennewick flower and gift business moved into new quarters last August.

The second phase will add 4,100-square-foot which can be divided for up to two future tenants.

Hummel Construction & Development is the contractor for the project, which has a construction value of about $800,000.

Idaho Central Credit Union (update)

3720 S. Zintel Way

Idaho Central Credit is preparing to open its first local branch, in Kennewick.

Branches are pending in Pasco and Richland as well.

The 4,900-square-foot branch was designed by Lombard Conrad Architects and is being built by Chervenell Construction Co.

It has a construction value of about $4.8 million.

Pasco

Israel and Claudia Restor, owners of Carniceria La Cabana meat markets and Mexican groceries are building a new 6,400-square-foot building near the corner of West Lewis and 14th in Pasco.

Space is available for lease.

The $880,000 project is being built by Kaizen Construction and Development LLC. DKEI Architectural Services is the designer. Project suggested by a reader.

Home2 Suites by Hilton (update)

2203 W. Argent St.

The first floor of a new hotel at the Tri-Cities Airport is being framed.

A-1 Hospitality, helmed by Vijay Patel and son Taran, broke ground on the $9.5 million project last fall on land leased from the Port of Pasco.

The site is the second airport hotel for the Patels, who built and operate the Courtyard by Marriott next door.

Home2 Suites will feature 107 guest rooms and other amenities. Fowler Construction is the contractor.

CBHA West Pasco Clinic (update)

7405 Three Rivers Drive

Columbia Basin Health Association is constructing a new clinic to serve low income patients in west Pasco.

The site is off Road 68, north of STCU Credit Union.

The two-story, 28,300-square foot medical and dental clinic will feature spaces for clinics as well as offices, laboratory and pharmacy services.

The $5.1 million project is designed by KDA Architecture and is being built by Aldrich + Associates. It is expected to open to patients in the fall.

Richland

Peachtree Estates II

1251 Bermuda Road

Site work is continuing near the saddle of Little Badger Mountain for the latest phase of Peachtree Estates.

The 26-acre property will be developed with 97 homes by MD&D Investments.

The site is about 1,500 feet west of the intersection of Queensgate Drive and Legacy Lane. Peachtree II is west and north of the initial Peachtree Estates subdivision, where several homes are being constructed on lots now.

Peachtree is part of Richland’s Badger Mountain South area. The area was formerly agricultural and was reclassified for medium-density residential development. Project suggested by reader.
