A new family-owned coffee shop and boutique is opening soon in downtown Kennewick.

Urban Grounds owner Joanne West said they hope to open in early- to mid-June.

The coffee shop is going in at 217 W. Kennewick Ave. next to the Branding Iron Nightclub and across from the Red Mountain Kitchen.

“We’re a coffee shop and boutique, so I have clothing and a gift shop, kind of a variety of stuff in there,” West said. “My daughters are helping with it, it’s kind of a family thing.”

West said they’re excited to be a part of downtown, and hopes to create a great place to visit. The coffee shop and boutique is moving into the old home of 509 Farmhouse.

“Hopefully it’s a place that everyone can come together and enjoy coffee and shopping, and have a unique experience,” she said.

Baskin-Robbins and Bruchi’s

A new Baskin-Robbins location is coming to the Tri-Cities, and it isn’t alone.

Plans were recently filed to bring a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop and Bruchi’s Cheesesteaks and Subs to Pasco, at the corner of West Court Street and North 20th Avenue.

The location is currently a shuttered bank, across the street from the Court Street Plaza shopping center.

The developer plans to tear down the bank.

Unlike the new Bruchi’s and Baskin-Robbins in Kennewick, this location will be two separate buildings, both with drive-thrus.

The sandwich shop will be 2,800 square feet, and the Baskin-Robbins will come in at 1,500 square feet.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, and be complete in spring 2023.

Bruchi’s has another Pasco location on Burden Boulevard near Road 68.

The new spot will be the sixth Tri-Cities Bruchi’s and fourth Baskin-Robbins.
