A new primary care facility has opened in Pasco.

Kinwell Medical Group is opening primary care facilities across Washington to help address a projected shortage of physicians. They have also opened clinics in Wenatchee and Yakima.

By 2034, the U.S. is expected to face a shortage of up to 124,000 doctors — 48,000 of them will be in primary care alone, according to a 2021 study by the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Kinwell is an exclusive network provider of Premera Blue Cross. Its primary care physicians will be available to anyone with Premera or LifeWise insurance.

Richland Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart has announced that the renovation of its Richland Supercenter is complete.

The company told the Tri-City Herald in an e-mail that the redesign of the store, at 2801 Duportail St., is intended to transform several departments, provide better line of sight and navigation and help customers save time.

Some of the store improvements include: Expansion of online grocery pickup, an expanded beer and wine selection, new grab-and-go coolers with food items at the front of the store, and new signage, paint and flooring throughout the entire store.

U-Haul

Grandridge Safe Storage in Kennewick is becoming a U-Haul neighborhood dealer.

They will offer services like U-Haul trucks, support on rental items, moving supplies and in-store pickup for boxes, at 8122 Grandridge Blvd.

Speck Buick

Speck Buick GMC is remodeling its old Kennewick facility, at 2910 W. Clearwater Ave.. The dealership recently moved to Pasco, at 9610 Sandifur Parkway. They have applied for permits at the Kennewick lot for renovations estimated to cost more than $1.5 million.

It is unclear what they plan to do with this location once the remodel is complete.

Equipment Rental

Blue Line Equipment Co. is building a Pasco showroom.

The equipment rental company has applied for permits to install a 12,000 square-foot pre-fabricated metal building at 2080 N. Commercial Ave. near the interchange at Interstate 395 and Highway 12, at an estimated cost of $1.6 million.

The building will house a showroom, offices, parts storage and repair bays, according to information submitted to the city.
