Poaching suspect caught on camera illegally fishing Walla Walla River. Can you ID him?

The Oregon State Police is trying to identify a man seen fishing in the Walla Walla River in December after trout and warm water fish seasons had closed.

Photos were taken of the man near Milton-Freeman in Umatilla County, Ore., on Dec. 13 and 16, according to the state police.

He appeared to be using trout and steelhead fishing gear, according to a police report.

Steelhead fishing was not allowed on the river in 2024, and trout and warm water fish season ended Oct. 31, according to police report.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Oregon State Police dispatchers at 1-800-452-7888, or email the Turn in Poachers program at TIP@osp.oregon.gov.
