She was born in Kennewick and was a lifelong Tri-Citian.

She was a homemaker.

Robert Salazar, 57, of Hermiston, Ore., and former longtime Grandview resident, died Jan. 27 in Springfield, Ore.

He was born in Portland, Ore., and was a former Grandview resident.

He was a butcher for Safeway.

Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, is in charge of arrangements.

Jesus Escareno Sanchez

Jesus Elias Escareno Sanchez died at birth in Sunnyside on Jan. 28.

He was the son of Blanca Sanchez Trujillo and Jose Escareno Ceballos.

Clara M. Robertson

Clara M. Robertson, 92, of Kennewick, died Jan. 30 in Kennewick.

She was born in Bismarck, N.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 73 years.

She was the retired owner and operator of Robbie’s Place and Robertson’s Dairy.

Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.

Paul D. Rice

Paul D. Rice, 79, of West Richland, died Jan. 27 at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick.

He was born in Bremerton and lived in the Tri-Cities for 52 years.

He was a retired mechanical engineer at the Hanford site.

Richard P. Nipper

Richard Paul Nipper, 91, of Richland, died Jan. 28 at home.

He was born in Kimberly, Idaho, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 68 years.

The Army veteran was a retired pipefitter.

Alfonso Martinez

Alfonso Martinez, 63, of Richland, died Jan. 28 at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 25 years.

He was a retired meat cutter for Albertson’s and a sales associate for Sears.

Imelda Ortiz Morales

Imelda Ortiz Morales, 80, of Pasco, died Jan. 27 in Richland.

She was born in La Viga, Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 25 years.

She was a homemaker.

Maria G. Guzman

Maria Graciela Guzman, 92, of Federal Way and formerly of Sunnyside, died Jan. 28 in Federal Way.

She was born in Concepcion, Texas, and was a longtime Sunnyside resident.

She was a retired agricultural laborer and a housewife.
