She was born in Sacramento, Calif., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1988.

She was a retired West Richland police officer.

B. Lorraine Serene, 98, of Richland, died Jan. 27 in Richland.

She was born in Oil City, Calif., and lived in the Tri-Cities for six years.

She was a retired bookkeeper in California.

Gary P. Moskovitz

Gary Pollock Moskovitz, 54, of West Richland, died Jan. 28 at home.

He was born in San Francisco, Calif., and lived in West Richland for the past 13 years.

He was a retired computer lab teacher in the Compton, Calif., School District for many years and was very active in the NEA’s Read Across America Program.

Harry David Williams, 94, of Kennewick, died Jan. 26 in Kennewick.

He was born in Haxtun, Colo., and lived in Kennewick for eight years.

The U.S. Navy veteran was a retired computer programmer for Washington State University.

Debra Brandmire, 66, of Sunnyside, died Jan. 27 in Sunnyside.

She was born in Kennewick and was a longtime Sunnyside resident.

She was a retired secretary for the city of Sunnyside and the Sunnyside School District.

Richard Dennis Cornish, 83, of Kennewick, died Jan. 21 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

He lived in the Tri-Cities for 22 years.

He was a psychologist.

Cynthia Schafer Haffner, 75, of Richland, died Jan. 22 at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick.

She was a retired medical office manager.

Daniel Palmer, 71, of Richland, died Jan. 24 in Richland.

He was born in Benton Harbor, Mich., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 34 years.

He was a retired safety operations manager for Fluor Daniel.
