Tri-Cities man accused of recording co-workers in restroom at Kennewick coffee shop
A Richland man is in jail accused of recording his co-workers in the restroom.
Kennewick police responded to a local coffee shop about 10 a.m. Thursday after a panic alarm was activated by one of its employees.
When officers arrived they were told that one of the workers had found a cellphone hidden in the employee restroom recording them, according to a social media post.
The employee who had allegedly hidden the phone already had left the scene after being confronted by the manager and fired.
After investigating, officers arrested Christian Michael Carman, 28, at his home in Richland on Friday on suspicion of first degree voyeurism, which is a felony.
He was booked into the Benton County jail on Friday afternoon.
He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
During a Monday court hearing Benton County Superior Court Judge Joe Burrowes also issued a no contact order for the victim and restricted Carman’s use of any device capable of taking photos or video.
