It’s farmers market season in Tri-Cities. Here’s when and where to shop local
Farmers market season is here.
An ownership change for Columbia River Warehouse means Tri-Cities shoppers lost two popular options.
However, there are still local events where you can get your farmers market fix.
Here’s where and when you can find them:
Where is the Richland Farmers Market?
The Richland Farmers Market is held in The Parkway.
The market features fresh ingredients, baked goods, wine and other alcohol options, and local artisans. There are often local musicians as well.
The Richland Farmers Market is run by the Richland Parkway Improvement Association, a nonprofit organization largely operated through volunteers.
The market’s opening day is Friday, June 5.
Vendors line The Parkway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays, June through October.
When is the Pasco Farmers Market back?
The major farmers market in Pasco is the city’s official Pasco Farmers Market at Peanuts Park, 426 West Lewis St.
The market is open every Saturday from May through October.
Opening day is on Saturday, May 9.
Vendors offer food, fresh ingredients and art line in historic downtown Pasco from 8 a.m. to noon.
The covered pavilions offer reprieve from the heat, and the park is near several other popular Pasco businesses that patrons can visit after the market.
Where are other farmers markets around Tri-Cities?
Benton City also has a weekly farmers market.
Vendors set up their tables and stalls at 511 9th St. in Benton City every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The first market of the season will be Saturday, May 30, according to organizers.
Information on additional farmers markets will be added as details become available.
