Pedestrian on I-84 in OR dies after being hit by Tri-Cities semi driver

A Pendleton, Ore., man who tried to walk across Interstate 84 died after he was hit by a semi driven by a Kennewick man.

Noah J. Lindsey, 25, of Pendleton, died before he could be taken to a hospital on Monday Dec. 22. The Oregon State Police issued a news release about the crash Tuesday Dec. 30.

The Kenworth that hit Lindsey at 7:50 a.m. was driven by Ben Gravis Johnson, 55, of Kennewick, according to state police. Johnson was not injured.

The crash was near the Pendleton airport. The eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 were closed for several hours as state police investigated.
