Don’t want to cook on Christmas? These Tri-Cities restaurants are staying open

Whether you need a break from holiday cooking, want to get your family out of the house or simply aren’t observing the holiday, you might want to dine out on Christmas.

Many Tri-Cities restaurants are closing Thursday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Day — limiting options for diners.

However, a number of eateries offering everything from sushi and samosas to prime rib and pad Thai will be open for the holiday.

Here’s where to go on Christmas Day:

What restaurants are open Christmas day in Richland?

Drumheller’s at 530 Columbia Point Drive is offering a special Christmas menu from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Fujiyama Japanese Steak House at 2522 Queensgate Drive will open at 3:30 p.m. and close at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Christmas Day.

Golden Palace at 1175 George Washington Way will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

What Kennewick restaurants are open on Christmas day?

Masala Indian Cuisine at 3321 West Kennewick Ave. is open for lunch and dinner on Christmas Day. The restaurant will offer an all-you-can-eat Christmas buffet from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Aki Sushi’s West Richland location will be closed Christmas Day, but the Kennewick location at 321 North Columbia Center Blvd. will open for lunch on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Osaka Teriyaki and Sushi at 4101 West 27th Place will open at noon Thursday and close around 9 p.m. depending on demand. Dine-in customers should arrive before 8:30 p.m., while take-out orders should be placed before 8:45 p.m.

Double Dragon at 3107 West Clearwater Ave. will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shang Hai Restaurant at 3013 West Clearwater Ave. will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m on Christmas Day.

The Thai Elephant at 6030 West Clearwater Ave. will open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Coyote Bob’s Roadhouse Casino at 3014 West Kennewick Ave. will be open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Christmas Day.

What other Tri-Cities area restaurants are open for Christmas?

Crazy Moose Casino, 510 South 20th Ave. in Pasco, be open for Christmas from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m.

The Red Lion, 2525 North 20th Ave. in Pasco, is hosting a Christmas buffet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Christmas Day.

The West Richland Golf Course is also hosting a buffet at 4000 Fallon Drive from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday.
