‘Thunder at the Mountain’ bringing monster truck mayhem to the Tri-Cities
Monster truck mayhem is coming to the Tri-Cities this weekend with Thunder at the Mountain at the Tri-Cities Raceway.
Gates open on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, 21 at 5 p.m. with a pit party at 5:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. General admission tickets purchased online start at $25 for adults and $20 for children ages 13 to 17. Children 12 and under get in free with an adult ticket holder. Parents are asked to reserve seating for children when purchasing their ticket online.
The event is billed as the “loudest, wildest, most jaw-dropping show of the summer.” Families won’t want to miss the fire-breathing, car-eating Megasaurus.
Local motocross riders can enter into a wheelie competition for a shot to win up to $500 each day. There will also be a beer garden and concessions. Small coolers are permitted if they fit under your seat.
Families can also hop in the back of a monster truck for a ride-along before the show starts. Tickets are $10 per rider. Families can also meet drivers and take pictures with the trucks during the pit party.
Parking is $5 per vehicle and must be paid for online in advance. Dry camping is available on a first come, first serve basis.
