Community members stand in Pasco’s City View Cemetery after placing wreaths on the graves of veterans for the holiday season for the Wreaths Across America event on December 16th. Wreaths Across America began in 1992 at Arlington National Cemetery and has since become a tradition in communities across the U.S. There are over 950 veterans laid to rest at City View Cemetery, from the Spanish-American War through the Korean War, WWI, WWII, and a Civil War soldier, according to the city’s website. It was the inaugural participation by Pasco in the event dedicated to honoring and remembering the fallen heroes.
