Tri-Cities student artists featured on Ben Franklin Transit buses

For the second time in three years, River View High senior Zaydean Valdez stood next to her winning artwork on the side of a Ben Franklin Transit bus parked at the school in Finley.

Valdez took third place this year in the traditional art category out of almost 200 entries from around the Tri-Cities.

The first, second, and third place winners selected in both the traditional art and digital art categories will be displayed on the exterior of the bus for a year.

The top 10 in each category can be seen inside the BFT Art Bus.

Other winners in the traditional category are: first place, Ryan Montgomery of Southridge High School and second place, Paul Erickson of Kamiakin High School.

The top three in the digital category are: first place, Guillermo Medellin Mendoza at Tri-Tech Skills Center, second place, Soleil Olivera at Chiawana High School and third place, Allison Fathing at Southridge High School.
