Prosser hospital names new CEO after longtime leader steps down

Prosser Memorial Health has named its interim chief financial officer to succeed Chief Executive Officer Craig Marks, who is retiring after a decade leading the hospital.

Timothy Reed is being promoted from his position as interim chief financial officer.

Reed has worked with the Prosser hospital since June 2025, supporting its financial performance and strategic growth initiatives., and has lived in the Yakima Valley since 2007.

His previous jobs include positions as a principle at Continuum Healthcare Consulting, vice president and chief financial officer at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Yakima and chief operating officer at Northwest Medical Center in Yakima.

He holds a master’s of business administration from the University of Utah and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

“He brings extensive experience in health care finance, operational leadership, and strategic planning, with a strong commitment to preserving local access to care while maintaining sound financial leadership,” Prosser Memorial said in a statement.

Reed said he believes strongly in the vision of Reed, who helped guide Prosser Memorial through significant growth.

“Craig Marks has been the driving force behind a powerful vision, including the development of the new hospital, and many people across this organization have deeply embraced that direction,” Reed said. “He has also helped cultivate a culture that is both mission-driven and genuinely fun, something that makes PMH unique.”

Prosser Memorial opened a new $125 million hospital building in early 2025.

Reed said he plans to build on Marks’ vision and culture and is optimistic about the continued growth of Prosser Memorial Health.
