“This is not an easy goodbye. What started as a dream became something far bigger because of you,” the Williamses posted on Facebook.

The couple had the truck custom built in Kennewick in 2018 to provide something they felt was missing from the local lineup: Southern-style biscuits and barbecue. They called their biscuits “cathead” biscuits because they were literally the size of a cat’s head.

Popcorn Northwest, KC Brand Kettle Corn and a popcorn outlet inside the Toyota Center at Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick shut down at the end of December.

The decision affected the popcorn shop at 624 George Washington Way, near Howard Amon Park in Richland.

“For the past 21 years, I’ve loved making kettle corn and lemonade, and over the past three years, it’s been an absolute pleasure creating Popcorn Northwest the flavors we became known for,” owner Jeramy Schultz posted.

Its 700-square-foot space is available for lease.

Complete Suite Furniture

The regional furniture chain is closing its Tri-Cities store, 1911 Fowler St., Richland near Columbia Center Boulevard.

Complete Suite Furniture is conducting a going-out-of-business sale at its store and is expected to move out in February.

The chain is not closing its Spokane area locations.

The 30,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1992. Complete Suite relocated from its former spot on North Columbia Center Boulevard about 15 years ago after a previous furniture retailer left it vacant.

SVN Retter & Company is marketing the spot to prospective tenants at $14 per square foot per year. It will be available on March 1.

GameStop Kennewick

GameStop closed its Kennewick store in January as part of a nationwide shutdown that saw nearly 500 of gaming-focused stores close.

The company closed stores in Bothell, College Place, Federal Way, Kirkland, Lakewood, Lynnwood, Redmond and Tacoma in addition to the Canyon Lakes Center, 4008 W. 27th Ave., near Highway 395.

There are additional locations at Columbia Center mall in Kennewick and on Road 68 in Pasco. The company website indicates they remain open.
