Arkansas chicken chain to open 1st Eastern WA outlet in Tri-Cities

Slim Chickens is renovating a former Arby’s spot in Pasco for its first Eastern Washington location.

Fayetteville, Arkansas-based Slim Chickens is investing about $1 million to renovate a closed fast food restaurant, 5115 Road 68, according to a building permit issued by the city of Pasco.

Arby’s closed the location at the end of 2024, a little over a year ago.

Slim Chickens couldn’t be immediately reached to comment on its expansion into the region, or when the new restaurant will open. Construction had yet to start as of Jan. 23.

The property is owned by Pasco Commercial Investments LLC and is valued at about $1.7 million for tax purposes.

Slim Chickens operates restaurants in about 30 states. Pasco will be its third Northwest location and its second in Washington.

The other two are at the Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) Exchange near Tacoma, and at Meridian, Idaho.

Its menu features chicken tenders, wings, fries, side dishes and beverages.
