New direct flights will take Tri-Citians to Disneyland and SoCal
Allegiant Air will add a fresh way to reach the Los Angeles area from the Tri-Cities in February.
The airline will begin bi-weekly flights between the Tri-Cities Airport and the John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana on Feb. 12, with flights on Thursdays and Sundays.
John Wayne serves the region south of Los Angeles, including Anaheim, home to Disneyland and other theme parks.
Allegiant provides leisure-focused service to Las Vegas and to Phoenix-Mesa. It is adding 30 new routes connecting 35 cities.
Inaugural fares begin at $39, although the lowest published fare for the first weekend is $126 round trip.

Allegiant is one of five airlines serving the Tri-Cities Airport, along with Alaska, American, Delta and United.
Collectively, they offer direct connections to international airports in Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle, as well as to the regional airport in Phoenix (Mesa).
Breeze Airways was supposed to begin flying to Burbank, Calif in March but has decided against serving Pasco.
