Richland’s Neidhold, Royal’s Allred are Seattle Seahawks High School Coaches of Week

Mike Neidhold of Richland and Wiley Allred of Royal were named the Seattle Seahawks High School Coaches of the Week.

Winners are chosen by the Washington State Football Coaches Association. Each winner receives a $500 grant for his or her football program.

With Richland’s 38-27 win over Skyline last week, the Bombers grabbed the top spot in the Class 4A Seattle Times power rankings and Associated Press state poll.

Defending 1A state champion Royal opened the season with a 21-14 victory over 2A Ellensburg. The Knights are the No. 1 team in the AP’s 1A poll.

At the end of the high school season, one coach will be named the state’s NFL High School Coach of the Year and receive a $2,000 grant.
