Pasco to host FIFA World Cup fan zones for 4 matches. Where to go, what to know
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by 16 cities across three countries in North America, including 11 spots in the United States.
Seattle’s Lumen Field is hosting six matches this summer.
Through official fan zones, you can experience the action right here in Tri-Cities.
Here’s how:
What are the FIFA World Cup Fan Zones?
Short-term rental marketplace Airbnb partnered with World Cup organizers to fund “fan zones,” including nine in Washington state.
The Seattle FIFA World Cup Local Organizing Committee said the fan zones ensure fans across the state can be part of the event.
“These fan zones represent our commitment to making this a truly statewide celebration,” committee CEO Peter Tomozawa said in a Feb. 24 news release. “Whether you’re joining at the waterfront in Everett or Olympia, or cheering in Tacoma, the Tri-Cities or Yakima, every fan will have the chance to be part of this once-in-a-generation event.”
Airbnb provided $40,000 in grants to the official fan zones in Washington state, which include Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Olympia, Spokane, Tacoma, Tri-Cities, Vancouver and Yakima.
The grants are meant to support “local celebrations, community gathering spaces and fan-focused programming during the tournament,” Airbnb said in a Feb. 24 news release.
Through the fan zones, Washingtonians across the state will get to experience the excitement of the World Cup in Seattle.
