Hanford bird experts to speak in Kennewick

Information on river-area birds at Hanford will be shared in Kennewick at a meeting of the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon society.

Bill Rickard, a retired Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scientist, and Corey Duberstein, a PNNL scientist, will speak.

Rickard has 60 years of experience, with much of his research conducted on the Arid Lands Ecology Reserve. Duberstein’s work includes understanding the habitat requirements of bald eagles, sage grouse and other birds.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Nov. 24 at First Lutheran Church on the corner of Highway 395 and Yelm Street.
