Kennewick talk to cover birds and global warming

A discussion of global warming and its impact on birds will be discussed Sept. 22 at a meeting of the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society in Kennewick.

Alex Amonette, a Tri-City bird enthusiast and volunteer with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, will speak. Her talk will cover Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s carbon fee and dividend legislative proposal and its economic, health and environmental benefits.

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the all-purpose room of First Lutheran Church, on the corner of Highway 395 and Yelm Street.
