Crowds prompt camping change at Moses Lake dunes

New camping restrictions are in place for the Moses Lake Sand Dunes to allow access for emergency crews.

Traffic has been an issue, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Last year almost 11,000 people visited the dunes throughout Memorial Day weekend.

This year no camping will be allowed west of the third restroom building to the intersection of Sand Dunes Road and Powerline Road.
