Spring break hunter ed class to start April 6 in Pasco

The Richland Rod and Gun Club along with the Washington state Department of Fish and Wildlife will hold an in-person hunter education class starting Monday, April 6, in Pasco.

The free class will cover firearms and outdoor safety, wildlife management, and hunter responsibility. Hunter education is required to get a hunting license in Washington state for anyone born in 1972 or later.

The class meets 6 to 9 p.m. April 6-10 at Griggs Department Store, 801 W. Columbia St., Pasco. Range day, when students practice shooting will be 9 a.m. to noon April 11.
