Bria Bowton netted a penalty kick for Ferris in the eighth minute, putting the Riverhawks in a bit of a rut.

“We started off really positive and had a few really good chances to score. Then they scored, which totally changed our demeanor and we got rattled,” Chiawana coach Rich Zoller said. “We kept fighting and scrapping, and Summer came up with a goal in the 68th minute. That gave us some confidence.”

The Riverhawks will travel to Gonzaga Prep for the regional title at 1 p.m. Saturday, a game which will also decide the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds to the state tournament.
