Southridge tops Pasco 28-21 in MCC showdown
Zayid Al-Ghani scored his third touchdown of the game, this one a 44-yard run, with 4:56 to play to give Southridge a 28-21 Mid-Columbia Conference victory over Pasco on Friday night at Edgar Brown Stadium.
Al-Ghani finished with 207 rushing yards, including two other scoring runs of 21 and 4 yards. He was one of three running backs to break the 100-yard mark in the game.
Teammate Samuel Kori carried 10 times for 111 yards, and he also scored on a 46-yard run.
Pasco’s Kaleb Ash rushed for 128 yards and 25 carries. He also caught a 20-yard TD pass from Kolby Killoy.

WALLA WALLA 42, HANFORD 34: Sam Hoe scored four touchdowns, and Isaiah Moss picked off two passes to help lead host Walla Walla past Hanford in an MCC shootout.
Hoe scored on runs of 1, 13 and 10 yards — with the latter giving the Blue Devils their final breathing room. Hoe also scored on a 77-yard kickoff return.
The Blue Devils’ defense intercepted Hanford quarterback Joshua Fonner four times. The freshman QB also had two TD passes, one of 33 yards to Kedrick Skinner and one 39 yards ot Desmond Samples.
Hanford plays host to Kennewick on Friday night in what will be a battle for the MCC 3A’s No. 2 playoff berth.

HERMISTON 36, HOOD RIVER VALLEY 28: Nathan Hunsaker’s 22-yard touchdown pass to Jerry Ramirez broke a 14-14 tie in the second quarter, and the host Bulldogs held the Eagles off the rest of the way.
Hunsaker threw for 114 yards and two scores, and he also ran for a touchdown to lead Hermiston (3-5 overall, 2-0 Columbia River Conference), which will visit Pendleton next week.
