Kamiakin moves into Class 3A state football poll
Friday night’s Kamiakin-Richland football showdown at Fran Rish Stadium will feature a pair of state-ranked Mid-Columbia Conference teams.
Richland (6-1 overall) moved up a spot to No. 6 in The Associated Press Class 4A poll, while Kamiakin (6-1) broke into the 3A rankings at No. 8 after last week’s 41-21 victory over Hanford.
Meanwhile, Prosser (6-1) dropped two spots to No. 4 in the 2A poll after losing to Ellensburg 27-26 in overtime. Ellensburg moved up to No. 2 behind Tumwater.
Royal (7-0) remained at No. 1 in the 1A rankings, while Connell (6-1) stayed at No. 4.
Liberty Christian (7-0) stayed atop the 1B poll, five points ahead of No. 2 Neah Bay. Touchet (6-0) stayed put at No. 3.
