Friday night football follow: Hermiston earns win in Columbia River Conference opener
Hermiston exploded for 35 second-quarter points en route to a 56-10 win over The Dalles on Friday night in the teams’ Columbia River Conference football opener.
Mitch Brown rushed for 121 yards on just nine carries for the Bulldogs. He also scored three touchdowns.
Hermiston’s defense held The Dalles’ rushing attack to just 33 yards on 33 carries.
DAVIS 20, SUNNYSIDE 14: Jordan Alcala rushed for 200 yards on 30 carries and scored the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard run to give the host Pirates a CBBN victory over the Grizzlies.
Nico Valle threw two TD passes for Sunnyside (3-4 overall, 0-3 CBBN).
