Taren Rosa picked up a botched snap and ran it in for a touchdown, breaking the game open as the visiting Hanford Falcons defeated the Hermiston Bulldogs 41-20 in a nonleague high school football contest Friday night.

Desmond Samples was in on the next three scores for the Falcons, who were 0-10 last season, but are now 1-0 this season under new head coach Brett Jay.

Samples hit Kevon Skinner for a 25-yard TD pass, rushed for a 10-yard score and connected 22 yards with Gavin Slack for the final score.
