Football: Othello, Prosser, West Valley to hold 3-way tiebreaker

Othello, Prosser and West Valley will play a modified Kansas tiebreaker for the final two Class 2A state playoff spots out of the Central Washington Athletic Conference starting at 2 p.m. Monday at East Valley High School in Moxee.

Each team will get two possessions starting at the 25. If they are still tied, they will alternate possessions starting at the 10 and will be required to go for two-point conversions after touchdowns.

West Valley will face Othello in the opener and the winner will play Prosser. If Prosser wins, then the Mustangs and whoever they beat will be the District 5/6 No. 2 and 3 seeds to the state playoffs. If the West Valley-Othello winner beats Prosser, then Prosser will play the West Valley-Othello loser for the final state berth.
