Football: Hanford hammers Life Christian in nonleague action

Hanford 41, Life Christian 7: Jake Oram scored two touchdowns as the Falcons rolled to a road victory Thursday in Tacoma.

Oram scored on a 66-yard punt return and on a 38-yard touchdown pass, as Hanford hammered out-matched Life Christian in a nonleague contest.

“I think it was a good experience for our kids,” Hanford coach Rob Oram said. “There was a lot of bonding on the bus trip.”

Hanford scheduled the game because Coach Oram doesn’t like bye weeks, wanted to get a lot of kids into the game, and wanted his team to experience a road trip in case they need to make a long one during the playoffs.

“We got a lot of kids in to play,” he said. “Which is a good experience for them.”

Austin Forsyth was 10-of-16 for 129 passing and two touchdowns, and rushed for 64 yards on seven carries with a score.

Jalen DeVine rushed for 64 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns, as the Falcons used their offensive starters for just a handful of series.
