Richland’s Jensen named WIAA Athlete of the Week

Cade Jensen led the Richland High School football team to a 42-10 state semifinal win over Central Valley on Saturday, and on Wednesday was named a WIAA Athlete of the Week for his efforts.

The Bombers senior quarterback completed 18 of 25 passes for 332 yards and five touchdowns, bringing his season total to 46, against the Bears.

No. 2 Richland (13-0) faces No. 1 Woodinville (13-0) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tacoma Dome in the 4A state championship game, hoping to avenge a loss to Camas in last year’s title tilt while winning its first championship since 1999.
