The Bombers climb in USA Today basketball poll. See where they rank
The Richland High School boys basketball team climbed six spots to No. 15 in USA Today’s Week 4 Super 25 Expert Rankings, which were released Wednesday.
The 8-0 Bombers cracked the national poll at No. 21 last week after beating Western powers Orem, Timpanogos and Wasatch Academy (ranked No. 23 in this week’s poll) earlier this month to win the Great Western Shootout in Orem, Utah.
Since then, the Bombers have opened Mid-Columbia Conference play with wins over Chiawana, Pasco and Southridge, with the smallest margin of victory coming in the 90-46 drubbing of the Riverhawks. The Bombers are currently seventh among 4A teams in the state’s RPI rankings.
Memphis East (8-0) and 11-0 Montverde Academy (Fla.) still held the top two spots in the U.S.A. Today poll, with Oak Hill Academy (Va.), Findlay Prep (Nev.) and St. Benedict’s Prep (N.J.) rounding out the Top 5. The full rankings can be found here.
