This is the best ice cream shop in Washington for a cold treat, Yelp says. Here’s why
Yelp released a report of the best ice cream shops in the every state this year.
A deli and frozen yogurt spot made the list in Tacoma, Washington.
To find the best ice cream shops, Yelp looked at U.S. businesses listed in the ice cream category. Then each place was ranked based on the total volume and ratings of reviews between April 21, 2021, and April 21, 2022.
The list was released ahead of National Ice Cream Day on July 17.
Melon Seed Deli & Frozen Yogurt
Yelp ranked the Melon Seed Deli & Frozen Yogurt as the best ice cream shop in Washington, and Yelp reviewers agree.
“A local gem that everyone must visit! Has bomb sandwiches with many options and delicious frozen yogurt,” one customer wrote.
The shop serves frozen yogurt in four different sizes with a wide selection of toppings.
“The Frozen yogurt is very tasty and they let you splurge on toppings,” one reviewer wrote. “Will definitely be coming back!”
But this Tacoma spot doesn’t only serve cold treats. Sliders, soups, salads and “munchies” can also be found on the menu.
Yelp reviewers raved about the turkey and bacon chutney slider. It comes with bacon, provolone, red onion, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes. with a sweet and savory mango chutney.
“I got the turkey bacon sandwich and it was like a flavor party in my mouth!!!” another person wrote.
