Construction resumes this week on road projects to help Dallas Road to handle the growing traffic associated with the Badger Mountain South development.

The project is led by Nor Am Investment, which is developing the area, and Goodman & Mehlenbacher Enterprises (GAME), the contractor.

Initial construction began last summer and paused for the winter in November 2024. It resumes April 14 with work starting on the shoulders and intersection of Trowbridge Boulevard and Dallas Road.

The posted speed limit is 25 mph during construction.

The project includes widening Dallas Road and extending city utilities utilities. Sidewalks, ADA compliant crossings and two roundabouts — at Trowbridge and Ava Way — are part of the package.

Work is expected finish in 2026.

The city approved the improvements and the Richland City Council is expected to approve a right-of-way agreement with Nor Am at its April 15 meeting.
