The Tri-City Herald wants to hear about how Trump, DOGE cuts & layoffs are affecting you
President Donald Trump has signed 82 executive orders since his inauguration on January 20. One of his early orders created the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk.
DOGE says its aim is reforming government spending and systems. Since the department’s creation, funding has been slashed for many federal programs. Thousands of federal employees have been laid off, contracts and grants have been canceled, and subsequent protests have taken place across the country, including here in Tri-Cities.
Journalists at the Tri-City Herald want to hear about how federal downsizing is impacting those who live in the Tri-Cities area.
