Woman’s usual lottery ticket leaves her in shock with huge win. ‘Had to pinch myself’
A Missouri woman was shocked to see how much she won on a scratch-off lottery ticket.
The woman purchased a $5 “Money Rush” Scratchers ticket in Florissant, according to a June 24 news release from the Missouri Lottery.
“I usually buy that ticket,” the woman told lottery officials.
But she was left stunned when she saw that she won, and her prize was huge. She began scratching the ticket and slowly realized she hit the game’s jackpot worth $100,000.
“At the present time, I didn’t realize I had won,” she said. “I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real.”
The woman told lottery officials it took a few days for it to sink in that she won. Then, once it did, she was excited.
“I told (a family member) about it,” she said. “And I set aside some money for him.”
