Elizabeth “Betty” Evelyn Hughes, 94, of Pasco, died May 22 at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pasco.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 55 years.

She was a retired fabric store sales clerk.

Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.

Betty L. Christopherson

Betty L. Christopherson, 79, of Kennewick, died May 21 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

She was born in Glendive, Mont., and had lived in Kennewick for two years.

She was a retired accounting clerk for the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.

Susan Jio

Susan Jio, 58, of Richland, died May 22 at Yakima Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Richland and was a lifelong resident.

She was a retired school teacher at Richland High School.

Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, is in charge of arrangements.

William ‘Bill’ Smith

William “Bill” Smith, 74, of Richland, died May 24 at The Rivers Place, Kennewick.

He was born in Agana, Guam, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 30 years.

He was a retired Hanford manager.

Columbia Memorial Funeral Chapel and Gardens, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.
