Guns fired in Columbia Park and at big Tri-Cities house party. Shooters fled

Police responded to two reports of gunshots late Saturday night in Kennewick.

Abut 11:15 p.m. multiple shots were fired from a vehicle near where more than 50 people partied at a house on the 1900 block of South Neel Street, according to the Kennewick Police Department.

Police searched the house and found no one injured inside, but seized three guns.

Police believe the incident was gang-related and continue to look for those who shot from a vehicle and then fled.

At about the same time, several shots were reported at the East Columbia Park boat launch near the blue bridge on Paul Parish Drive in Kennewick.

Kennewick police found multiple casings on the roadway and determined that shots were fired at a person in the park. No one was hit.

The shooter drove off before police arrived.

Kennewick police said they do not believe the two shooting incidents are related.
