A drowsy driver flipped an SUV on Interstate 82, leaving two of the five people inside hurt early Monday in Kennewick.

Adam S. Hebdon, 23, of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, was heading east in a Honda Pilot when he lost control near Clodfelter Road about 2:20 a.m., the Washington State Patrol said.

The SUV went off the road and flipped.

Two passengers, Caitilin B. Irick, 23, and Emory E. Hebdon, 23, both from Lava Springs, were taken to local hospitals with injuries. Irick was treated, Emory Hebdon’s condition was not immediately available.

Irick was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, and Hebdon was sent to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick.

Adam Hebdon and the two other passengers, Robin Myler, 19, and a juvenile, were taken to Trios to be checked out as a precaution. Everyone was wearing a seat belt.

The WSP cited Adam Hebdon for second-degree negligent driving.
