Armed robbery suspects hit Richland convenience store near Fred Meyer
Police are searching for two people suspected of a late-night robbery at a Richland convenience store.
A suspect, believed to be a man, armed with a rifle came into Lucky Food Mart at 22 Goethals Drive about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. He demanded money from the clerk before leaving with $500 in cash, Richland police said in a Facebook post.
A second suspect, believed to be a woman, stood by the door and acted as a lookout during the robbery.
Police believe they left in a BMW parked in a nearby lot.
The convenience store is on the corner of Aaron Drive and close to Fred Meyer, near Highway 240 and Interstate 182.
Both suspects were wearing masks. Police shared a photo of the man wearing a black Adidas jacket, black pants and dark shoes. He carried the rifle into the store along with a light-colored bag.
Police didn’t share any information about the woman holding the door.
