DUI arrest after Highway 397 head-on crash near Kennewick

A Richland driver is accused of driving drunk when he crossed the centerline and crashed into an oncoming car in Finley on Tuesday afternoon.

Tyrone A. Hall, 43, was driving north in a 2006 Ford Expedition about 2:30 p.m. when hit a 20204 Toyota Corolla headed south, the Washington State Patrol said in a traffic memo.

The Toyota driver, Emily V. Guaido Salazar, 35, of Kennewick, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

They collided on Highway 397 near 25th Avenue, about a mile east of the Kennewick city limits, said the state patrol.

Hall was arrested for DUI.

Traffic was reduced to a single lane and diverted for two hours around the crash scene, said the Washington State Department of Transportation.
