Suspect caught after fall from ceiling at Richland business park

A suspect is in custody after trying to hide from police inside a Richland business park on Wednesday, forcing employees from several businesses to evacuate.

The incident started about noon at the complex at 309 Bradley Blvd, near the corner of Comstock Street and George Washington Way. The complex is home to several medical offices, as well as State Farm Insurance.

According to dispatch reports, a man and woman were outside the building when Richland police initially approached them.

Richland police said they were helping Pasco police arrest an 18-year-old man wanted in connection to an investigation into robbery and unlawful imprisonment.

The couple retreated inside a building, causing the businesses to close and employees to leave while police surrounded and searched the building.

The woman later came out, and officers continued searching offices for the man.

Police reportedly found him in the attic after nearly two hours of searching the building. According to initial reports, he fell through the ceiling and was arrested.
