Stabbing victim dies after he was dropped off at Pasco hospital

A man died Monday night after being fatally stabbed in a Pasco alley.

The victim with several stab wounds was driven a few blocks to Lourdes Medical Center by someone in a pickup truck and dropped off at 6:20 p.m., Lt. Tom Groom told the Tri-City Herald. The man died a short time later.

The investigation led police to an alley south of Sylvester Street near 14th Avenue. The downtown Pasco neighborhood is a mix of single-family homes and an apartment complex.

Groom said detectives are still trying to piece together the details of what happened, but believe they know who was involved including the suspect.

No one had been arrested by Tuesday morning, and the name of the victim has yet to be released.

An autopsy is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, said Franklin County Coroner Curtis McGary.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Pasco Police Department at 509-545-5421.
