A dramatic wreck on Interstate 182 left a suspected drunk driver trapped in his pickup Monday night.

A Ford F-150 was believed to be going more than 100 mph on Interstate 182 around 9 p.m. when the driver lost control near the exit for 20th Avenue, Trooper Daniel Mosqueda told the Tri-City Herald.

Troopers are still trying to determine if the pickup hit the concrete median or a semi-truck, Mosqueda said. The crash left the driver, Alfredo Arrellano-Villegas, 42, of Pasco, trapped inside.

Firefighters cut him free, and he was taken to a local hospital, Mosqueda said.

Investigators also believe Arrellano-Villegas was intoxicated, and applied for a search warrant for his blood, Mosqueda said. He was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.
