Pedestrian critical after being struck by car in central Richland
A pedestrian struck by a vehicle Monday morning was in critical condition at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, said a police post.
The Richland Police Department said the collision happened about 8 a.m. at Chestnut Avenue and Lee Boulevard, east of Paul Liddell Park in central Richland.
The pedestrian regained consciousness Monday afternoon.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative. Police said there was no indication the driver was impaired. While the driver was considered at fault, it was not clear Tuesday if any tickets had been issued.
The incident is under investigation.
