  • Judge raised bail to $5,000 citing public safety concerns after alleged reckless driving.

A 22-year-old allegedly eluded police for weeks after reaching speeds of over 100 mph on Interstate 182.

When the Amazon employee was arrested, he was wearing a shirt that said, “Don’t get caught.”

Trevor Delorme of Kennewick is accused of trying to elude police in Franklin County Superior Court.

When prosecutors asked for him to be held in lieu of $1,000 bail, Judge Jackie Shea Brown didn’t believe it was enough to keep the community safe. She ordered a $5,000 bail or bond.

She said his dangerous driving put everyone else on the road at risk.

“That concerns me very, very greatly,” she said.

She did agree to his request to travel to Indiana until early August for a work trip. He is expected to come back to court to enter a plea after that.

“I do want proof of this work trip,” Shea Brown said. “This court will review bail if there is any reason to do so. I would encourage you to use caution.”

He paid the bond, and has been released from jail.

130 MPH chase

A motorcycle rider had been eluding police for the past couple of weeks by going more than 100 mph on Interstate 182, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

“Each time, the rider — on a black motorcycle, dressed in all black, and carrying a black backpack — chose to ignore out flashing lights and sirens, opting instead to make a quick getaway,” the sheriff’s office said.

The motorcyclist appeared again about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday as it raced past a deputy going 120 mph while splitting the lane on Interstate 182, court documents said.

Another deputy found the motorcycle again on Sunday, this time near the Amazon fulfillment center. The deputy signaled for it to stop, but the rider sped away again. He reached more than 130 mph before escaping, court documents said.

An online search led investigators to a possible photo of the suspect and his motorcycle with the name “Del Delorme” on it. They were able to link it to a Facebook profile for Trevor Delorme, which allegedly showed the distinct helmet the rider had been wearing.

The profile also said Delorme works as a “process assistant” at Amazon.

Police tracked the motorcycle down to a home south of Kennewick. Deputies reached out to Delorme and agreed to meet in Pasco, where he was arrested.

He allegedly said that he watches videos promoting fleeing police which motivated him to do the same, court documents said.

When he was arrested, he was wearing a shirt from Quiet Club, a racing and lifestyle brand, that said “Don’t get caught.”
