DUI suspect accused of using front loader to smash vehicles after family fight
A 23-year-old was jailed this week after he allegedly used a piece of heavy construction equipment to smash some vehicles on his family’s property.
Brandon B. Wiser allegedly argued with some family members Wednesday night, crashed a pickup truck and then got behind the wheel of a front loader, Benton County sheriff’s Lt. Mike Clark told the Tri-City Herald.
He used the construction equipment to flip and crush several work vehicles before deputies arrived at 22000 Cottonwood Drive in Badger Canyon about 7:45 p.m., said Clark.
Wiser had walked away from the area by the time deputies arrived, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
But he was found nearby and arrested for DUI and investigation of four counts of first-degree malicious mischief.
