Update: Person-of-interest photos released after Tri-Cities bicyclist hurt in hit and run

Pasco police are looking for the driver of a white pickup who drove away after hitting a bicyclist Friday evening near Albertsons on North 20th Avenue.

Saturday evening police released store security footage of a four-door Dodge Dakota pickup and a shopper at the store wearing shorts, a blue hoodie and an orange beanie.

They are asking the public to help identify the person of interest.

The bicyclist was hit while riding on the west side of North 20th Avenue near the Court Street Plaza that includes Albertsons. The pickup driver left going south and had a passenger with him, according to police reports.

The bike rider, whose name has not been released, was conscious, according to initial reports from the scene of the crash, but was seriously hurt.

He was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Twentieth Avenue was closed between West Court and West Marie streets Friday night as police collected evidence in the hit-and-run investigation.
